PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiled octopus brand-processing method and a device therefor giving a prescribed brand to the head part of a boiled octopus. SOLUTION: Two vertical strings running within the head part of the raw octopus are previously cut off to make the octopus flat to easily press a hot iron 10 and the octopus is washed with salt water by drum rotation to form the shape of the body and to remove its slime. Then, the octopus is boiled for a prescribed time in hot water added with nothing and temporarily cooled by cold water. Next, a copper branding body 12 formed at the tip of the electric hot iron 10 is pressed to the surface of the flat head part B of the boiled and cooled octopus A' to directly add the brand of a prescribed shape on the head part. |
