<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of rear display for an automobile whereby mounting of a display device is facilitated, with small trouble in running, a display in accordance with an operating condition of the automobile can be performed in a display area of large size. SOLUTION: A bar-shaped display device 3 linearly arranging many light emitting element 4 with a close space is provided in a large quantity, along a rear window surface 1 of an automobile, these many bar-shaped display devices 3 are set up almost in parallel with a coarse space. Light from each bar-shaped display device 3, so that it can be clearly visually recognized by an occupant in the following vehicle, is left as setting emission directivity and setting directivity. By arranging each bar-shaped display device 3, a belt-shaped physical picture plane along the rear window surface 1 is formed, many of the light emitting elements 4 arranged horizontally/vertically in this picture plane, in accordance with an image data of bit map type, is driven by a discrete scroll system, an image is scroll displayed, and an on/off lighting display is performed.</p> |
