<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the vibration of a steering wheel and improve a feeling of operation by fixing a support bracket to a body via an elastic material. SOLUTION: Each of the column brackets 13 and 14 of a steering assembly 15 is faced to the lower surface of a support bracket 17 and ring type rubber members 31 and 32 are provided at the right and left mounting parts of the support bracket 17 and the column brackets 13 and 14. In addition, set bolts 18 and 20 are passed through the column brackets 13 and 14, and the rubber members 31 and 32, and tightened to the support bracket 17. As a result, the steering assembly 15 comes to have each of the column brackets 13 and 15 fixed to the support bracket 17 via the rubber members 31 and 32. According to this construction, the vibration frequency of a steering column 11 in a vertical direction is lowered, and an engine and the steering column 11 come to have different vibration frequencies during idle running. Consequently, the engine and the steering column 11 do not resonate with each other. The vibration of a steering wheel 21 is thereby restrained and at the same time, a driver's feeling of operation is improved.</p> |
