PURPOSE:To easily obtain a high copying speed without speeding up document feeding by exposing a first copy in the same manner as recirculating exposure, when the number of copies is one or even plural in document automatic feeding mode. CONSTITUTION:In the document automatic feeding mode, the machine determines whether document image exposure is performed with the document stopped or not stopped on a platen glass 21 according to whether the number of the copies is one or plural. When copying is performed in the document automatic feeding mode, the document width is, first, put between a document placing part 8 and a width position regulating plate 9. In the case only one copy or a first copy among plural copies, an exposure lamp 37 in a fixed position exposes a document passing through an exposure part. In the case of the exposures of plural copies or second and subsequent copies, the moving exposure lamp 37 exposes a document staying in the exposure part. Thereby, high copying speed is easily obtained without speeding up document feeding. |
