The mounter frame (48) has spaced side plates (50) that slide over a bracket (24) and with a linear movement can be held in place on the bracket (24). The frame (48) has an adapter plate (49, 52, 55) that can be used with brackets (24) to mount on a wide variety of auxiliary tools (20, 96, 116, 120) used with a backhoe or excavator (10).
