According to the invention, an electricity supply unit (1) and an amplifier (2) are joined via a mechanical/thermal interface (3) to form a single structural unit. Electrical connections between the electricity supply unit (1) and amplifier chamber (2) are located inside this shared structural unit. A common electrical interface (4) is provided for external control or supply signals. This structure is especially suited for controlling a travelling-wave tube with non-critical electromagnetic compatibility.
