The device is arranged on a transverse bearer at one end and on a gallery bar of a road vehicle fitted with a roof rack on the other. On the transverse bearer is fixed a housing on which is formed a fixed clamping jaw (13) supportable on the gallery bar from above. Two vertically orientated and spaced housing walls are provided between which a lever mechanism is arranged on link bolts (30) and bearing bolts (15,16,17) which are fixed to the housing. The lever mechanism has an angle lever (24) acting as clamping lever and pivotable around a bearing bolt (15) fixed to the housing, and an intermediate lever (25) linked to the short lever arm of the angle lever via a link bolt. <IMAGE> |
