In an electrode for battery according to the present invention, admixture for electrode, which is an admixture of powdered active material such as nickel hydroxide powder or hydrogen absorbing alloy powder, thickener, binder and the like, is carried on a conductive substrate. Grains of the powdered active material are mutually bonded by silane coupling agent. Alternatively, the surface of the conductive substrate is coated with a film of silane coupling agent, and the admixture for electrode and the conductive substrate are bonded through the intermediary of that film. <IMAGE> |
