PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the seizure of a ball bearing which may be caused by heat transmission from a turbine shaft. SOLUTION: In a ball bearing for a turbocharger, a turbine shaft is rotatably supported inside a housing by means of a ball bearing. In such a device, inner rings 20, 30 are made of ceramic, while outer rings 21, 31 and balls 22, 32 are made of steel. Heat transmitted to a turbine shaft 1 is insulated by the ceramic inner rings 20, 30. Heat transmitted to the inside of the bearing is radiated to the outside through the steel balls 22, 32 and outer rings 21, 31. It is thus possible to suppress temperature rise of the inside of the bearing, and prevent the seizure of the bearing. |
