PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the energy conversion efficiency of a solar cell by a method wherein a fluorescent material film is formed on a photodetecting surface having no reflection preventing function of the solar cell or having the same. SOLUTION: As for a fluorescent material, a fluorescent coloring agent is used. The fluorescent coloring agent is excited with the light centered on the wavelength of 550nm for emitting fluorescent at the peak wavelength of 600nm. As for the solar cell, n+pp+ type polycrystalline silicon solar cell is used so that the photodetecting surface thereof may be double coated with the fluorescent coloring agent. The current-voltage characteristics of the solar cell double coated with the fluorescent coloring agent in the incident intensity of 79.4Js<-1> cm<-2> is displayed in the figure. It is evident that the current value is increased by coating with the fluorescent coloring agent. Furthermore, regardless of the coating times with the fluorescent coloring agent, the energy conversion efficiency can be increased by 23-29%. |
