PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus by which the charging depth of a module battery is made deep and by which a charging operation can be performed in a boosting manner. SOLUTION: A high current is made to flow to module batteries 1, 2 via respective changeover switches 7, 8 from a charging power supply 9, the module batteries are charged, temperatures at this time are detected by temperature sensors 3, 4, and a temperature change rate is computed by a temperature- change-rate computing circuit 5. The module batteries are charged by the high current until the temperature change rate becomes a value A. When the temperature change rate exceeds the value A, a low current or a pulse current is made to flow from the charging power supply 9, and the module batteries 1, 2 are charged. When the temperature change rate exceeds a value B, their charging operation is completed. |
