PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a color image of excellent quality by the same liquid crystal display device and the same size by composing a color pixel by means of a specified number of adjacent dots including at least three primary colors in a color filter layer. SOLUTION: In the SVGA mode display of a second mode, one color pixel 37 is formed by three primary color dots 37a-37c (37e-37g), etc., composed of three stripes selected from among four stripes including at least adjacent three primary colors in a color filter layer 22. In the VGA mode display of a second mode, one color pixel 37 is formed by three primary color dots composed of three stripes selected from among five stripes including at least adjacent three primary colors in a color filter layer 22. When display is performed by the SVGA mode, one stripe is used between two stripes as for one color having two stripes from among four stripes and color display is performed by three stripes combined with the other two colors. |
