PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the oxidation resistance of a plate for a magnesia carbonaceous slide gate by externally applying a silicone denatured phenolic resin, which is prepd. by adding hexamethylene tetramine to a resin by bringing the alkenyl group of an alkenyl group-contg. epoxylated novolak resin and the SiH group of organopolysiloxane into reaction and pulverizing the mixture, to aggregate, then kneading, molding and drying the mixture. SOLUTION: The novolak resin is obtd. by epoxylating the alkenyl group- contg. phenolic resin with epichlorhydrin or partially bringing 2-allyl phenol, etc., into reaction with the epoxy resin. The examples thereof include the compds. of formulas I, II, III. In the formulas, p, q are 1<=P<=10, 1<=q<=3. The organopolysiloxane is expressed by formula IV. In the formula, R: a lower alkyl group, phenyl group, formula V (R': a lower alkyl group; C=2, 3); a=0.01 to 0.1; b=1.8 to 2.2; n=3 to 400; 5>=(n×a)>=1; 1.81<a+b<2.3. The aggregate is sintered magnesia, artificial graphite, Si, etc. |
