PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive to separate adherends and classify and dry object matters without washing by a method wherein the peeling off or separation of the adherends are performed through the granulation and agitation in response to treating objects and through the heating and drying in hot air atmosphere and then pieces, the sedimentation velocity of which is slow and consequently which float, in crushed pieces are sucked and the remaining pieces, which do not float, are recovered separately. SOLUTION: Object matters are crushed with a cutter mill or the like without preliminary treatments such as washing, drying and the like so as to charge the resultant crushed pieces through a charging port 28 in a drying chamber 20. Adherends 82 such as mud, residual drinks and the like mixed with the crushed pieces are dried by the hot air sent through a hot air leading-in port 42 communicating with a furnace and the like and then finely ground with agitating elements 30 and fall through the screen 24 at the bottom part 22 of the drying chamber 20 into a lower collecting box 70, while labels, which float through agitation in the drying chamber 20 due to their slow sedimentation velocity such as paper, plastic film and the like, are recovered through a suction port 26 outside the drying chamber 20 by means of air flow, which is developed by the suction of a blower connecting to an upper end part piping 50. As a result, the object matters can be separated and classified through drying and the difference of sedimentation velocities in air flow, resulting in making pre-washing and the like unnecessary and consequently allowing to omit a pre-washing process and the like.
