<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely enable control of meandering by detecting a meandering quantity of a strip and conducting pressure control or position control with a cylinder arranged to a lower part of a chock of a looper roller without large influence on a strip width. SOLUTION: A looper, which has a looper roller 5 to control a drop quantity and tension of a strip between each rolling mill adjacent each other, is arranged. Further, a meandering quantity of a strip between rolling mills is detected by a meandering quantity detector. Hydraulic cylinders 8, 9 at WS side and DS side capable of pressure control or position control are arrange to a lower part of chocks 6, 7 of DS side and WS side of the looper roller 5, these are controlled by a servo valve 11. Corresponding to a deviation from a reference of a meandering quantity of the strip set beforehand, a position of the hydraulic cylinders 8, 9 are controlled to change an inclination of the looper roller 5, a meandering quantity of the strip is controlled. By this method, the device and control method to control a meandering quantity of the strip is provided.</p> |
