<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of image data passing through a system during image processing. SOLUTION: A user application registers a document including an image to be printed to an image server and receives an identifier used to identify a document from the image server. Then the user application gives the identifier to a printer driver 300 together with a print parameter that describes a desired aspect of a document to be printed. The printer driver 300 uses the identifier to reference the document and sends an image processing request to the image server 10, the image server 10 on the request processes the image of the document according to the print parameter to generate a printer image. Then the printer driver 300 extracts the processed printer image consisting of the required image data only to be down-loaded to printer 22, 24 from the image server 10.</p> |
