PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent image over a long period, in an image forming device using a contact electrifying means and a contact transfer means. SOLUTION: When a both-side mode is set by a both-side mode setting means A, an electrifying applied voltage control means C makes the absolute value of a voltage applied to a contact electrifying means B higher than that in the last image formation for a front side, at the time of forming an image for a rear side. In such a case, further, the absolute value of the voltage applied to a developing means D can be made higher than that in the last image formation for the front side by a developing applied voltage control means E. Or the absolute value of the voltage applied to the contact electrifying means B can be made higher than a normal one, at the time of forming the image for the front side, after the formation of the image for the rear side is completed. Or when the peripheral length of an image carrier is defined as L1 and the interval of a transfer material from the completion of the formation of the image for the rear side to the start of the formation of the image for the next front side is defined as L2, the feeding interval of the transfer material can be controlled to establish the relation as L1<L2. |
