<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discriminate a time mode for a picture part recorded on a magnetic tape at the time of reproducing and to easily reproduce this picture of the magnetic tape by the same time mode. SOLUTION: The device has an operating microcomputer 2 for setting a recording time mode at the time of recording, a discriminating signal generating circuit 3 for generating a discriminating signal corresponding to a time mode set in the operating microcomputer and a discriminating signal adding circuit 4 for adding this discriminating signal to a vertical fly-back period of a picture signal. At the time of reproducing, a data added to the vertical fly-back period of the picture signal is read out by a discriminating signal detecting circuit 9 to detect a discriminating signal, and which recording time mode corresponds to this discriminating signal is discriminated by a control microcomputer 10 to set its reproducing time mode. Moreover, the device possesses a servo circuit 11 for controlling a rotational speed of a capstan motor, a motor drive amplifier 12 and the capstan motor 13 for traveling the magnetic tape.</p> |
