A blood treatment device comprises an extracorporeal blood circuit intended to be connected to a patient by way of a single needle (7). This circuit comprises a blood treatment apparatus (1) and two expansion chambers (12, 21) for the blood which are arranged on each side of the apparatus (1). Pressure control means (18, 25) are provided in order to maintain an adjustable pressure substantially constant upstream and downstream of the blood treatment apparatus (1).
