PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlinear resistor which can be lowered in varistor voltage, can be increased in thickness and size, and has an excellent discharge withstand current rating characteristic and voltage-applied life characteristic and the resistance value of which does not fluctuate much even when the size of the resistor is increased. SOLUTION: A resistor contains a zinc oxide as a main component and 0.1-5.0mol% bismuth when converted into bismuth oxide (Bi2 O3 ), 0.1-5.0mol% antimony when converted into antimony oxide (Sb2 O3 ), and 0.1-0.5mol% titanium when converted into titanium oxide (TiO2 ) as sub-components and has a varistor voltage (V1m A) of 20-150V/mm. |
