PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display on the whole image plane without unevenness, by making a film before elongation contain a solvent and a plasticizer in a specified weigh ratio in a method of manufacturing a phase difference film provided with a double refracting property by elongating a polysulfone film. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the phase difference film provided with a double refracting property by elongating a polysulfone film, a film before elongation contains a solvent such as xylene, anisole, ethyl toluene, mesitylene, chlorobenzene, or the like at 1-10wt.%, desirably 1.5-7wt.% and contains a plasticizer at 1-5wt.%, desirably 1.5-3wt%. A phathalic acid group, or the like excellent in compatibility with polysulfone without generating phase separation, bleed out and coloring is used as the plasticizer. The polysulfone film is made to contain the solvent and plasticizer by a method of adding them in a solution before manufacturing a film, or the like. |
