SHEET ILLUMINATING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet illuminating method and an illuminating device used for it capable of illuminating a sheet from frontward with the thin and see-through illuminating device and appreciating the illuminated sheet while seeing is through the illuminating device. SOLUTION: In an illuminating method, plural tubular emitter 6 with incandescent filaments in transparent rigid tubes 6a are arranged in gaps between a pair of transparent plates arranged almost is parallel with gaps therebetween and an illuminated sheet is put in face contact with the back of an illuminating device 1 and illuminated from frontward with the illuminating device to appreciate the illuminated sheet while seeing it through the illuminating device 1. One of a pair of plates for the illuminating device 1 is transparent and heat resistant and the other may be light transmissive or shading. In this case, the illuminated sheet is put in face contact with the inner face of the other plate or the other plate itself is formed as the illuminated sheet.
