PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the precise detection of touch position through driving with low power consumption. SOLUTION: When an electric signal is inputted to interdigital electrodes TX0 , TX1 and TX2 , a surface acoustic wave is excited on the upper end face of piezoelectric panel 1, propagated to the upper end face of a non-piezoelectric panel 2 and converted out to an electric signal having a phaseθbase at an interdigital electrode RX0 . At the same time, it is converted to electric signal Ej (j=1, 2...x) having phasesθj (j=1, 2...x) at an interdigital electrode RX11 or the like. When a position FX is touched among positions Fj (j=1, 2...x) between interdigital electrodes TX1 and RX11 on the upper end face of non- piezoelectric panel 2, an electric signal E having a phaseθis outputted at the interdigital electrode RX11 . At such a time, the touch position FX can be detected from the difference ofθbase andθ.
|
