A method is provided for enhancing digestion, growth, production and health and for preventing disease in a ruminant or other animal or man comprising feeding methenamine in dry solid or powder form to said animal or man. A method is provided for enhancing digestion, growth, production and health and for preventing disease in a ruminant or other animal or man comprising the addition of methenamine in dry solid or powder form to a food or nutrient supplement and feeding the food or nutrient supplement to the animal or man. Compositions comprising methenamine are provided for nutritional supplementation employing said methods. A method employing methenamine for preserving storage stability and taste of milk, cream, cheese, yogurt and other dairy products is provided. Dairy product compositions comprising methenamine for preserving said dairy products are provided. |
