<p>An electrode assembly for a resectoscope has a cutting electrode with a distal portion and a coagulation electrode with a distal portion. A support frame is connected to the cutting and coagulation electrodes. The cutting and coagulation electrodes are configured to be coupled to a splitter box. The splitter box receives an input from a single energy source. The cutting and coagulation electrodes simultaneously receive sufficient energy from the single energy source to the cutting electrode to cut tissue and to the coagulation electrode to coagulate tissue.</p> |
