摘要 The invention relates to a method and device for measuring an electrical voltage which allows measurement in outdoor conditions, even at high and extrahigh voltage levels. Said method and device make use of optical activity using light sources, at least one optical transmission path, at least one sensor element with at least one active sensor part (21) and a number of detector crystals (SKi), and evaluating elements using the Pockel's effect as a measure of the temperature with the result that influences on optical and electrical parameters of said device caused by temperature changes are reduced. Measuring light produced by a light source penetrates an active sensor part consisting of at least two sensor crystals. Said active detector part is present at least once in said sensor element, where an electrical voltage is applied. The basis for measurement is the state of polarisation of the measuring light. Said sensor element can comprise a number of active sensor parts, the summation of the component voltages correlating with the total voltage. Several sensor elements can be combined. Transmitted optic waves are detected and converted into signals. The device comprises light sources, optical transmission paths, sensor elements, active sensor parts and evaluation elements (32, 33).
