A system for use in illuminating an object for use in an image generating setup comprising a number of controllable light sources positioned in predetermined positions and means for controlling the light sources. The parameters of the light sources constitute a lighting setup of the illumination and may be stored and reloaded in order to quickly regenerate a previously generated illumination. In one aspect, the light sources may be off-set or moved in a manner so that information relating to the offset is provided in order to also be able to regenerate the illumination. Also, portable units or positioning devices may be used in the setting up of the illumination. |
