PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject probe for detection of a nucleic acid, capable of forming an intermolecular bond, having high detection sensitivity and simplified in operation by providing a sequence complementary to a prescribed sequence which a target nucleic acid molecule has and providing terminal sequences at the both ends. SOLUTION: A sequence 11 which is complementary to a prescribed sequence which a target nucleic acid molecule to be detected has is provided so as to form a complex with the target nucleic acid through the part and further, a self-complementary sequence 13 inserting spacer sequences 12 at both ends of the complementary sequence 11 is provided and an intramolecular bond is formed through the self-complementary sequence 13 so as to form a cyclic structure and each sequence is arranged so as to improve stability when a complex is formed between a probe and the target nucleic acid to provide the objective probe 10 for detection of nucleic acid, used for a detection method of nucleic acid which is increased in detection sensitivity and simplified in experimental operation and further reduced in cost, compared with a conventional detection method of nucleic acid. |
