PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic balloon catheter. SOLUTION: This elastic balloon catheter 10 includes expandable balloons 14 and 15, and an approx. cylindrical elastic radioactive ray source 16 having a thin wall thickness, and both of the expandable balloons 14 and 15, and the radioactive ray source 16 are coaxially arranged at far ends of the balloon catheter 10. The expandable balloons 14 and 15 are suitable for the expansion of the insides by the injection of a fluid for expansion. The elastic radioactive ray source 16 has a near end and the far end, and displaces to the outside in the radial direction by the injection of the fluid for expansion into the expandable balloons 14 and 15, and by that motion, the radioactive ray source 16 is placed in the vicinity of a blood vessel wall of a human body, in which the balloon catheter 10 is inserted. |
