PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a ceramic porous film having practical strength and corrosion resistance and a ceramic filter using the film and to provide a production method capable of producing them in a temp. condition making a refractory device unnecessary. SOLUTION: In the ceramic porous film, aggregate particles are bound with a binding part consisting of titania, 1-30wt.% binding part consisting of the titania per aggregate particles is incorporated, and the aggregate particles are composed ofα-alumina. The porous film is formed on a surface of a porous substrate to form the ceramic filter. A slurry containing the aggregate particles and 1-70wt.% binder consisting of titania per aggregate particles is prepared, and the slurry is subjected to a heat treatment at 300-700 deg.C to form the porous film.
