PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a particulate material of inorganic pigment capable of generally using and provide a method for producing a particulate material, e.g. pigment from a product obtained by mass production by a simple, inexpensive granulation method capable of readily carrying out. SOLUTION: This particulate material of inorganic pigment is composed of industrial inorganic pigment powder and several kinds of auxiliary substances used in an amount of 0.1-4wt.%, preferably 0.1-2wt.% per kind based on pigment and selected from the group consisting of (a) a polyalkylene glycol in which the molecular weight is <=2,000 and the alkylene is ethylene or propylene, (b) a ligninsulfonic acid salt and (c) a cellulose ether having <=1,000mPa.s viscosity at 20 deg.C in 2wt.% solution, and total weight of the auxiliary substances is 0.5-5wt.%, preferably <=2-4wt.% and >=2 and <=3 kinds of the auxiliary substances belongs to different group, and the particulate material of inorganic pigment has 50-1,000μm, preferably 100-800μm, especially preferably 100-700μm average diameter, 0.2-1.8g/cm<3> , preferably 0.4-1.5g/cm<3> bulk density and maximum 3wt.% water content of pigment and the particulate material is compacted. |
