PEPTIDES WHICH REACT WITH ANTIBODY REPRESENTING THE PROGNOSTIC MARKER FOR HIV DISEASE PROGRESSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new peptide for watching and preventing infection of AIDS, derived from a second storage domain of HIV-1 indusium glycoprotein gp120 in which frequency elements F1 and F2 as dominant values in IS show specific regions. SOLUTION: This new peptide containing a sequence selected from sequences of formula I to formula IV is derived from a second storage domain of a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) in which frequency element F1 shows 0.030-0.040 region and/or F2 shows 0.180-0.220 region as dominant values in IS and is useful for evaluating infection and consequence of disease progress of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), watching antiviral treating effects and preventing infection of AIDS. The peptide is obtained by designing a second storage domain of HIV-1 indusium glycoprotein gp120 in which the frequency elements show the regions and by chemically synthesizing the peptide by a conventional method.
