PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent moldability, widen the controllable ranges of the size, shape, expansion ratio, etc., of formed cells, and realize the production of a foamed article with good appearance by blending a branched polycarbonate resin and a linear polycarbonate resin so as to give a composition having a specified melt tension and melt viscosity. SOLUTION: A branched polycarbonate resin obtained by polymerizing a dihydric phenol and phosgene or a carbonic ester compound in the presence of a branching agent and, if necessary, a terminator is blended in an amount of 10-100wt.% with 90-0wt.% linear polycarbonate resin obtained by polymerizing a dihydric phenol and phosgene or a carbonic ester compound, if necessary, in the presence of a terminator in such a manner as to give a viscosity-average molecular weight (Mv) of the composition of 19,000 to 30,000 and that the amount of the branching agent is 0.3-1.0mol.% based on the total of dihydric phenol residues, thus giving a resin composition having a melt tension at 280 deg.C of 3-10g and a melt viscosity at 280 deg.C of 0.8×10<3> to 5×10<3> Pa.sec. |
