PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly discharge an activated material from the furnace at a high temp. and further improve the heat efficiency. SOLUTION: An activating furnace 1 electrically heated and closed to improve its heat efficiency is provided with a nozzle 20 for sucking a material 15 along with a cooling and circulating nonoxidizing gas 18, a cyclone 21 for separating the gas 18 from the martial 15, a cooler 22 for cooling the gas 18 and a blower 23, etc., for sucking and circulating the gas 18 to discharge the material immediately after being activated.
