Therapeutic compositions having cell-regulating properties for the treatment of lymphomatosis, cancerous diseases, excess of urea in the blood and asthenic conditions, in dosage unit form for oral administration, comprise a peroxide of the general formula:- #O wherein X is H or -C-R, and R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical containing 10 to 22 carbon atoms inclusive and a solid pharmaceutical carrier therefor. The preferred peroxides are dimyristoyl and dilauroyl peroxide. The compositions are administered orally e.g. in the form of tablets. |
