<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molded article, such as a covering material or a mandrel, used in contact with a crosslinking-agent-containing polymer in the production of e.g. a power cable or a rubber hose by mixing a poly-4-methylpentene resin with a phenol acrylate compound in a specific mixing ratio. SOLUTION: Poly-4-methylpentene resin of 100 pts.wt. is mixed with 0.5-15 pts.wt. phenol acrylate compound represented by the formula (wherein R<1> is H or methyl; R<2> is H or a 1-3C alkyl; and R<3> to R<6> are each a 1-9C alkyl), and the obtained composition is molded. It is desirable that this composition further contains 0.5-15 pts.wt. hindered phenol compound and/or 0.5-15 pts.wt. phosphite compound. It is desirable that the poly-4-methylpentene resin is a poly-4-methylpentene homopolymer or a copolymer containing at least 85mol% 4-methylpentene. This molding scarcely undergoes surface roughening even after repeated use and can be used repeatedly many times.</p> |
