PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of cam shaft drive torque during the starting of an engine and to prevent an increase in fuel consumption and generation of strike noise due to an increase in a clearance. SOLUTION: An intake and exhaust valve drive control device for an internal combustion engine comprises a cam shaft 2 having a first flange part 2a situated at the end part in an axial direction of a drive shat 1; a sleeve 3 fixed on a drive shaft and having a second flange part 3a arranged opposite to the first flange part; an annular disc 4 arranged between the first and second flange parts and rotatable in a surface orthogonal to the axis of a drive shaft; pins 4a and 4b engaged with engaging grooves 2b and 3b formed in the first and second flange parts, respectively, protruded in an opposite direction to each other on both sides of the annular disc; and a control ring 5 rotatably supporting the annular disc and movable such that the rotation center of the annular disc is positioned eccentirically from the axis of the drive shaft. In this case, a copper sintered alloy 6 is situated between the annular disc 4 and the control ring 5.
|
