PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good drivability while the vehicle is running in winding in which head swinging occurs continually. SOLUTION: On the basis of the acumulated period of head swing running, the end timing of the shift prohibited period is decided by an end timing deciding means 108, and a shift prohibiting means 110 prohibits shifting of an automatic transmission 14 till the given end timing for the shift prohibit period. In running with head swings, for example on hilly road, head swinging occurs more continually with longer period of head swing running, i.e., with higher frequency of head swing running, so that frequent shifting in winding run is suppressed by deciding the end timing of the shift prohibit period on the basis of the acumulated period of swinging runs as described above, and good drivability is obtained. |
