PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accelerating the multiplication of the rumen bacteria of ruminant domestic animals and functional feed with excellent preservability and taste used for the method by using SHOCHU (Japanese spirits distilled from sweet potatoes, rice, etc.), lees. SOLUTION: When the SHOCHU lees are fed more than 1% of the rumen liquid of the ruminant domestic animal, a beef cattle, for instance, the multiplication of bacteria inside a rumen is accelerated. Especially when vitamin B6 and Salinomycin are used singly or together, a multiplication acceleration effect is specially improved. As this feed used for it, the functional feed containing at least 20% of the SHOCHU lees in a dry amount and desirably at least 0.004% of the vitamin B6 and at least 0.002% of the Salynomycin, which is fused, extruded and molded under heating by an extruder is suitable. For the functional feed, moisture activity is low as 0.5-0.9 and the preservability is excellent. Also, since it becomes porous accompanying the expansion evaporation of moisture, the taste is improved as well. |
