PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of image quality which is caused by the temperature of a plurality of recording heads. SOLUTION: In the case when subheaters 10A to 10D of print heads 9A to 9D are subjected to PWM control in an environment of low temperature, the respective temperature of the print heads 9A to 9D is detected by temperature sensors 9A1 to 9D1 and the number of the recording heads to be subjected to temperature control is determined on the basis of the detected temperature of the print heads. In accordance with the determined number of the recording heads, the maximum duty ratio of pulse trains to be supplied to the subheaters corresponding to the print heads to be subjected to the temperature control is determined and the timing of supply of the pulse trains to be supplied to the recording heads to be subjected to the temperature control, which are controlled in terms of a pulse width, is prevented from coinciding mutually. |
