摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise that occurs at a boundary part of a binary image to the extent where there is visually no problem by taking in errors that occur at edge parts of the basic image among errors that occur in binarization processing in an area where the binarization processing is not processed yet. SOLUTION: An image processor consists of an image reading part 109 that reads an image original 100, an image processing part 104, a printer part 105 and a controlling part 110. A basic image that is represented in multivalued data is converted into a binary image that is represented in quasi-gradation, and the binary image is repeated and recorded on a recording medium. Here, the value of each pixel that represents the basic image is successively compared with a prescribed threshold and is binarized according to the comparison result. Errors that are generated by the binarization are distributed to ambient pixels of a remarked pixel by applying an error diffusion matrix of a prescribed size. Errors that are forced out from the basic image among the distributed errors are taken in an area where binary processing is not processed yet.
