A supporting device for a pre-tied necktie comprises a former member 14 including wings 14 and a rearwardly and downwardly inclined lower portion 18, a frame 16 secured to the rear face of the member 14 and including a similarly inclined lower portion 27 and an attachment device comprising a plate 32, including limbs 42 and 43 and an inclined lower portion 33, and an abutment assembly 17. A pin 37 with a head 38 passes through apertures in the portions 33 18 and 27 and has an enlarged portion 36 with a tapped axial bore in which a threaded pintle is mounted in a linkage formed by curved sections 44 and 46 of limbs 42 and 43 respectively to be snapped from the open position of Fig. 5 to a closed position in which it extends downwardly behind a collar and in abutment with a head 41 on the pintle 40. |
