PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sentence input device capable of being applied to an input system by handwritten character recognition, being applied to the input system by a keyboard as well and efficiently inputting a target sentence with less operations and a computer readable recording medium recording a sentence input program. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a display and input tablet 20 for inputting the display contents or handwritten contents of the instructed area by instructing or handwriting a fixed word and phrase display area 21, a handwritten character input area 22, a temporary display area 23, a conversion button area 24, an adoption button area and a frequently appearing word and phrase display area 26, the inputted contents are connected and the sentence is prepared. A segmentation means for segmenting words and phrases from the sentence, an importance calculation means for calculating the importance of the respective words and phrases and an emphasis display means for performing the emphasis of enlarging an occupancy area or the like and performing display in the frequently appearing word and phrase display area 26 based on the importance of the words and phrases are provided. The respective means are constituted in a CPU. |
