<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner which has minute grain size and narrow grain size distribution and simultaneously satisfies both high picture quality and low temp. fixation of the picture. SOLUTION: In the electrostatic charge image developing toner containing at least a colorant and a binding resin, the toner contains 0.1 to 15 pts.wt. colorant per 100 pts.wt. binding resin, number average particle size (Dn) is 0.5 to 6.0μm, grain size distribution index (Dv/Dn) is 1.0 to 1.3, variation coefficient of number distribution is <=20%. Further, the toner contains 0.1 to 5wt.% methanol-soluble resin component extracted by a first Soxhlet extraction by methanol, 50 to 99wt.% THF-soluble resin component extracted by a second Soxhlet extraction by tetrahydrofuran(THF) after the first Soxhlet extraction by methanol and a relation between maximum glass transition point of the methanol-soluble resin component (Tg2 ) and maximum glass transition point of the THF-soluble resin component (Tg1 ) satisfies formulas: 0< Tg2 -Tg1 <=150( deg.C), Tg1 >=50( deg.C).</p> |
