Vehicle door lighting

The lighting has at least one light source and is situated on at least one longitudinal side of the car. Light emerging onto the region in front of at least one car door falls and the intensity of the light permits at least a shadowy perception of the illuminated region. The lighting has at least one bulb and at least one optical component like a reflector, a prism, a lens, an optic fibre, a scattering disc, an optically conducting foil, etc to influence the light characteristics. The lightning is located under the lower edge of the window and also in the trim moulding or bumper.
