The regulator for an electric servo steering for regulating a motor in such a manner, that the motor supplies a steering auxiliary power to a steering mechanism. The mechanism corresponds to a current control value, which is computed from a steering auxiliary desired value, which on its side depends on steering moment produced in steering shaft and is computed from a motor current value. A forecasting unit (350) is provided for the forecasting of a reduction of the supply voltage of a motor. So that in the event of a forecasted supply voltage reduction, an idling rpm increase is carried out. The forecasting unit receives a rpm or an angular speed of the motor, and the reduction of the supply voltage is forecasted from a current value and an earlier value or the received rpm or angular speed.
