A game has a pair of parallel walls (12, 112, 212, 312) defining a space therebetween, at least one of the walls (12, 112, 212, 312) being transparent to permit viewing of the space from the exterior of the game, and a liquidtight seal (16) around the space, with a liquid (14) retained in the space by the seal (16). Buoyant balls (30, 130, 230, 330) immersed in the liquid include a ferrous material, and a retainer (22, 122, 222, 322) extends partially across a lower portion of the space for releasably retaining the balls. A magnet (45) at the exterior of the space is manipulatable for displacing the balls (30, 130, 230, 330) from beneath the retainer (22, 122, 222, 322); and ball receptacles (36, 136, 236, 240, 288, 336, 337) located above the retainer (22, 122, 222, 322) each has a downwardly facing ball reception opening (42) dimensioned to receive the balls therein as the balls rise buoyantly through the space on release of the balls by the magnet.
