PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing battery electrodes by which an electrode plate having untreated parts can be pressed without causing cuts and wrinkles. SOLUTION: In a process of pressing an electrode plate 3 produced by intermittently forming an active material layer on a current collector, outer tubes 101 of press rolls 1 are so constituted as to be deflected relative to a shaft 103 and as to keep the distance between the shafts of the rolls always constant at the time of pressing. The gap A between the rolls at the time of pressing the parts on which the active material layer is formed and the gap B between the rolls at the time when no electrode plate is between the pair of the rolls are controlled to satisfy the following: A > B >= the thickness of the current collector. |
