PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing glass chopped strand mat, capable of efficiently attaching a binder to the deposited material of strand without applying water, vapor and solvent before applying the binder to the deposited material of the strand, softening the binder by small heat energy, binding strand cut materials and forming the bound material in a mat. SOLUTION: This method for producing glass chopped strand mat comprises cutting strand obtained by bundling plural glass fibers, depositing the cut material of the strand onto a moving conveyer, spraying a binder onto the deposited material of strand, heating the deposited material to soften the binder and binding each cut material of strand to form mat. In this case, the deposited material of the strand is preheated before spraying the binder. |
