<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the optimum distribution and the effective application of the data transfer band width that is shared among plural devices by setting the transfer band width of a synchronous packet, based on the recognized printer performance and transmitting the print data, based on the set transfer band width. SOLUTION: The login to a printer is started by reading a login register of the printer via a read transaction to decide the login propriety and then changing the login register of the printer via the lock transaction. The printer type stored in a configuration ROM of the printer is read via a read transaction to decide the printer type of the optical output. The host side decides the band width, that is requested to an isochronous resource manager. When the band width is decided, the allocatable band width is acquired, and a channel number is decided to start the transfer of data. When the transfer of data is over, a print end bit is written.</p> |
